VitaSave, an online natural health
superstore and resource center, signed a one-year exclusive pact with theglobe.com, making it the exclusive
retailer of natural health products in the online community’s Marketplace
shopping area.

As part of the agreement, theglobe.com, an online community site, created
a new “Herbs & Vitamins” category in Marketplace where VitaSave is
predominantly featured.

Theglobe.com will provide direct links and promotions from the site’s homepage
and Life theme area. VitaSave and theglobe.com will also have promotional
sweepstakes occurring two to three times per year. Financial terms of the deal
were not disclosed.

“Through our relationship with theglobe.com we are able to deliver
accessibility to our content and products to millions of theglobe.com users
seeking ways to incorporate natural health practices into their healthcare
regimen,” said David Eigen, president of VitaSave, which recently signed co-
marketing agreements with Thrive and Excite.

Theglobe.com claims more than 1.8 million members in the United States and
abroad. In June, 6.1 million unique users visited the site. Members of the
community shop in a marketplace with over 35 retailers, including barnesandnoble.com, F.A.O. Schwarz and Lens Express.
