Pandesic LLC, the Internet company from Intel and SAP, said that Wild Oats Markets Inc., the second-largest natural foods supermarket chain in North America, selected the Pandesic Web business solution to run its online store.

After evaluating a number of e-commerce and e-business options, Wild Oats said
it chose Pandesic because it offers a complete, integrated solution that
requires minimal resources to install and run. Financial terms were not
disclosed.

Wild Oats is a chain of 59 natural foods supermarkets located in 16 states and
British Columbia. The retailer features organic and locally
grown produce, chemical- and preservative-free groceries, hormone- and
antibiotic-free meats and body care and eco-household products.

The Wild Oats online store will offer the complete line of Wild Oats brand
supplements,
vitamins, minerals and herbs, items from the company’s private label line,
gourmet gift baskets and merchandise. Warehousing and fulfillment will be
handled by Anabolic Laboratories Inc. of Irvine, CA.

The site will be available starting in the fall.

The Pandesic e-business solution bundles software, services and hardware,
handling all marketing, order processing and fulfillment, inventory, pricing,
materials management, tax handling, payment processing, shipping and handling
logistics, financial reporting, and vendor-payment processes associated with
electronic-commerce transactions.
