Pandesic LLC, the Internet company from Intel and SAP, delivered version 2.1E of the Pandesic e-business solution.

This version delivers expanded merchandising functionality, customer profiling and support capabilities, as well as expanded fulfillment and logistics support, the company said.

“We are dedicated to accelerating the cadence of our e-business solution,”
said Harold Hughes, CEO and president of Pandesic. “This release includes new
functionality and is 100% merchant-focused. It delivers new functionality in the areas of Web advertising, customer merchandising and management, and
expanded business processes.”

Version 2.1E offers Web advertisement management features, giving online
merchants the ability to place targeted banner advertisements on the Web and
track the success of each advertisement.

Merchants will be able to get reports and lists with demographic information (such as zip code and state) on the people who place an order, which sites they came from, and how much revenue is generated from each site where an advertising banner was placed.

Other features include expanded product definitions and the option to ship a
customer’s order as a gift with a personalized message.

Additional features, such as customer-controlled order status, give customers the option of receiving partial shipments or holding shipment until the order is available, while the warehouse availability logic capability automatically calculates which warehouse is closest to the customer’s shipping address. Version 2.1E also offers international billing and shipping capabilities.

Release 2.1E also includes an expansion of fulfillment and warehouse
capabilities plus additional Web-accessible reports on vendor activity, new
customer lists, and new order status and product catalog information with
redesigned Web APIs, simplifying legacy system integration.
