CommVault Systems, Inc(R), a provider of enterprise data and storage management solutions, has been chosen by Compaq to be a member of its StorageWorks Value Partner Program. The Compaq program enables qualifying vendor partners to self-certify backup software for direct, networked and advanced Storage Area Network (SAN) environments.


“Compaq worked closely with CommVault to deliver advanced, complementary solutions that provide enterprise-class reliability and performance to our customers,” said Rusty Smith, director of Compaq’s Enterprise Nearline Storage Division. “The application-specific nature of Galaxy allows Compaq and CommVault to focus on delivering solutions that have an immediate impact on customer needs.”


CommVault Galaxy software and Compaq’s Enterprise Backup Solution together, according to the companies, provides pre-tested data management and protection solutions that enable enterprise and business class customers to manage and protect business-critical data in Windows and UNIX environments.
