Legato Announces Data Protection Solution for NetWare 6

Legato Systems, Inc. today announced the availability of Legato NetWorker(R) 4.2 for Novell NetWare, which it said delivers key management capabilities for protecting NetWare storage assets and support for Novell’s new platform release, NetWare 6.

A Novell/Legato solution delivers on that objective.”

According to the company, NetWorker 4.2 for NetWare provides client software for heterogeneous storage environments managed by Legato’s enterprise-class NetWorker 6 and utilizing NetWare 4.x, 5.x and 6 platforms. new administrative capabilities include volume snapshot, support for long file names, full compatibility with Novell eDirectory (formerly Novell Directory Services) and support for large volumes of up to eight terabytes.
