McDATA Announces New Human Resources VP

McDATA(R) Corporation today announced that Karen Niparko has been named Vice President of Human Resources.

McDATA said Niparko, who most recently was an executive consultant for Corporate Solutions, Inc., a human resources/business operations consulting firm, will be responsible for all human resources operations at McDATA. Prior to Corporate Solutions, Niparko served as the chief administrative officer and corporate vice president for StorageTek.

“Karen has extensive human resources experience, and a proven track record of effective leadership,” said John Kelley, chief operating officer for McDATA. “As McDATA continues its course of rapid growth, it is important that we have the leadership in place to handle that growth wisely. Karen brings the talent and experience necessary to accomplish that important job.”

“I am excited to join McDATA, the clear leader in such an exciting and fast-growing industry,” said Niparko. “I look forward to leading McDATA’s human resources operations as it continues to grow and lead the industry with its core-to-edge line of enterprise SAN solutions.”
