Quantum|ATL Announces China Distribution Agreement

Quantum Corporation subsidiary and DLTtape vendor Quantum|ATL today announced an agreement with Dynamic Technology International Ltd. to serve as a Master Distributor in China for Quantum|ATL products.


As part of the agreement, Dynamic Technology has ordered a full range of storage library solutions from Quantum|ATL valued at $300,000 USD. Dynamic Technology will resell to end users and other resellers the Quantum|ATL PowerStor L200/L500, P1000 and M1500 enterprise-class libraries.


“Businesses in China are flourishing, especially with the emergence of the Internet and e-commerce,” said Jerry Yeung, president, Dynamic Technology. “The data storage solutions provided by Quantum|ATL will significantly enhance the ability of China’s businesses to compete successfully in the global economic marketplace.”


Quantum|ATL recently restructured and expanded its Asia Pacific sales organization and recruited Dennis Li as managing director for Asia, which includes China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Southeast Asia.
“This partnership with Dynamic Technology reflects Quantum|ATL’s commitment to the emerging market in China, and better positions us to support our customers and resellers in the region with total storage solutions,” said Kevin Daly, president and CEO of Quantum|ATL.
