NaviSite, Inc. , the Andover, Mass.-based Web hosting and managed services provider (MSP), today announced an upgrade to its Virtual Private Network (VPN) service to improve connectivity and security for its customers.

The enhanced Managed Site-to-Site VPN Service, assists customers requiring a high-speed method of secure data transport between multiple locations across the Internet at a reduced cost. As part of the solution, which NaviSite says offers rapid deployment, customers get hardware and software installation and configuration, 24/7 platform monitoring and continued management of these devices.

“Our enhanced VPN service will enable customers to take advantage of the Internet to increase their overall connectivity while benefiting from increased site security,” says Kevin Lo, NaviSite’s VP of Products and Services. “Not only are we increasing our customers’ connectivity, but NaviSite is also providing around the clock monitoring and management support to help ensure uptime and solid security,” he adds.

Extending the VPN’s existing remote access capabilities, NaviSite can now provide site-to-site connectivity, enabling customers to connect local and international offices over the Internet.
