InfoSpace.com has
announced a strategic partnership with AOL
Canada
to provide people and business directories and a geographic mapping service.

AOL Canada members will now be able to search for an individual, either by
name, address or telephone number, as well as have access to millions of
organizations, businesses and professionals in Canada and around the world.

Once members find the address they are searching for, they can also use a
comprehensive mapping service feature to confirm the best travel route to
actually get there.

“It was important for AOL Canada to find a partner capable of offering
outstanding consumer-focused online listing solutions to augment the
resources available on AOL Canada and AOL.CA,” said Stephen Bartkiw, AOL
Canada’s CEO.

“This partnership with AOL Canada is an example of our substantial and fast
growth in the Canadian market,” said Bill Lucky, vice president of
InfoSpaceCanada.com.
“We have already demonstrated success in the United States and are now
extending these services globally by offering AOL Canada members what we
believe are the most comprehensive and relevant content solutions available
on the Internet.”

AOL Canada is an interactive online service tailored to the Canadian
marketplace, working with more than 70 content and commerce partners.

Last week, Royal Bank of Canada took a 20 percent stake in the company for $60 million.
