dbChannel Delivers Castanet-Enabled OLAP Channels

InterNetivity released dbChannel, an application to deliver Castanet-Enabled OLAP channels via the Web.

dbChannel was developed under a technology partnership between InterNetivity and Marimba.

dbChannel allows information publishers and other organizations to deploy data analysis capabilities through the use of Castanet-Enabled OLAP
channels. It is now available for download from InterNetivity’s Web site.

The scalability of Castanet, combined with dbProbe’s support for thousands
of simultaneous users, offers businesses a new option in deploying OLAP tools
to a wide range of users.

“The use of channels greatly simplifies the deployment of OLAP capabilities
via the Web,” commented Fred Dixon, president of InterNetivity. “The
partnership with Marimba results in a perfect mechanism for automatically
delivering up-to-date analysis capabilities to widely distributed users.”

A companion product to dbProbe 3.0, dbChannel is a wizard that lets
administrators convert a dbProbe PageCube (multi-dimensional datacube) into
a Castanet-compatible applet and publish the applet to a designated Castanet
transmitter. Users can then subscribe to this OLAP channel and receive
automatic updates of data cubes with no manual interference required.

dbProbe 3.0 is the latest version of InterNetivity’s Web-based data analysis
tool. It is designed specifically to address the needs of information
publishers, OEMs, and enterprises wishing to deploy decision support
capabilities to large, often mobile, user audiences.
