[Toronto, CANADA] — Delano Technology Corp., a provider of interaction-based e-business solutions for the enterprise will underlie Macromedia LikeMinds eMail.

LikeMinds eMail extends Macromedia’s LikeMinds real-time personalization technology to enable marketers to interact with customers.

Under the terms of this agreement, Macromedia licensed key components of the Delano e-Business Interaction Suite, an e-business platform for developing and deploying interaction-based applications; and Delano Customer Velocity, a suite of e-marketing and e-service applications.

The Delano e-Business Interaction Suite is an e-business platform for developing and deploying applications that enable a firm to interact with its customers, partners, suppliers, and employees. The platform, which is built on open standards,extends a company’s existing technology investments.

The platform includes the Delano e-Business Application Builder, an application builder environment for developing interaction-based e-business applications; and the Delano e-Business Interaction Server, a scalable server designed to simultaneously run thousands of applications.

Delano Customer Velocity is an integrated suite of customer-facing applications that leverage e-mail and the Web to manage relationships through the customer lifecycle. The suite includes Velocity Campaign Management, Velocity Response Management, and Velocity Interaction Portal, three applications that support e-marketing and e-service with marketing campaigns, surveys, newsletters, e-mail response management, and Web-based self-service.

Delano’s solution, which includes an e-business platform and e-CRM application suite, supports enterprises such as BCE Emergis, Charles Schwab Canada, Nortel Networks, Commerx (for PlasticsNet.Com), and Ericsson.

Headquartered in Toronto, Delano has offices in New York, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas, San Francisco and London, England.
