Edify Corp.
introduced the Business Banking Suite (BBS), a major enhancement to its
Electronic Banking System that already
includes a complete electronic bill presentment and payment solution.

By
combining the power of the Web with that of a call center, BBS is intended to
redefine the way in which banks deliver financial services to small business
customers.

“We believe that the Web business banking software market is poised for
growth in
1999 and beyond,” said William A. Soward, VP product marketing at Edify
Corporation. “Our announcements in the last two weeks not only underscore
Edify’s overall market leadership position in Web application software for
financial institutions but also indicate our intent to gain ‘first mover’
advantage in emerging market opportunities.”

Within BBS are six customer self service modules via which authorized
business employees can access account information, initiate transactions, and
communicate directly with financial institutions. The software also presents
individual users with custom-tailored views of information, based on their
preferences and access privileges.

Among BBS’s key facilities are: Balance Reporting, which provides real-time
summary and detail information on deposit, investment, loan and credit card
accounts; Payments and Collections, enabling users to initiate internal
transfer,
wire transfer, ACH, bill payment, and stop payment transactions; and Profiles
which lets a master user set account access privileges and transaction
approval
limits for other employees, said the vendor.

Available as a separately purchased option with Edify Electronic Banking
System Release 3, BBS is scheduled to ship in Q4, 1998.
