    SANTA CLARA, May 31–Palm took a large
    step toward implementing its vision to put the power of the Internet into
    the hands of mobile users, announcing a definitive agreement to purchase
    AnyDay.com, a leader in dynamic, Internet-based calendar solutions.
    The AnyDay acquisition will deliver
    up-to-the-minute personal services simply, anytime and anywhere to
    Palm-powered and other handhelds. The proposed acquisition is valued at
    about $80 million in cash and stock options.

    industry’s leading global Internet advertising solutions company, announced
    it has acquired approximately 60% of the stock of Flashbase, a New
    York-based company that offers a completely automated solution for the
    design and management of online sweepstakes. DoubleClick has agreed to acquire the
    remaining shares of Flashbase in
