Insight Development Corporation announced a new version of its Web page capture and annotation software, Hot Off The Web (HOTW).

Available until September 30, 1998, for what the vendor calls a “sizzling summer price of $29.95,” HOTW 1.5 is free to registered users of earlier versions.

“We have listened to our customers’ requests since the initial release of Hot Off The Web this spring, and have responded to their requests for greater speed and flexibility with the convenience of active links,” said Thea Grigsby, president of Insight Development Corporation. “Our engineering staff has significantly refined our patent-pending technology to be able to produce greater speed and a Windows 98 compliant product.”

Hot Off The Web lets the user grab a whole Web page or just one paragraph,
mark it up with Digital Stickers, Cyber Notes, the Graffiti Pen and/or the
Highlighter function, then e-mail, fax, print or save it, the firm said. It now supports active
links, opening a linked page in a new window when the user clicks on a link in
any HOTW page.

“Users are given much more freedom to roam around and explore the pages they have captured through the support of live links,” the vendor said.

After the end of September, the estimated street price of Hot Off The Web
will be $49.95.
