Asian interactive recruitment network JobsDB.com announces the signing of two agreements appointing it as a WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) content provider to HK mobile telecom giants Hutchison Telecom and SmarTone.

Hutchison Telecom and SmarTone WAP customers can now access content provided by JobsDB.com, and receive information on 10 to 15 ‘Hot Job’ vacancies in the region with brief descriptions, or use the ‘Job Search’ function to seek other jobs available.

Customers using the online recruitment service are connected to a special JobsDB.com WAP server that provides information on daily available jobs based on the customer’s specifications.

Hutchison Telecom WAP customers can also subscribe exclusively to the ‘Job Alert’ function that allows potential employers to reach prospective candidates via short messages delivered to their WAP mobile phone. The service allows users to view a prospective job and to respond immediately rather than relying on their Internet-linked PC or laptop.

Nelson Poon, managing director of JobsDB.com, said that the agreements would complement the firm’s existing services as well as providing value-added benefits to Hutchison Telecom and SmarTone customers.

JobsDB.com says that employers enjoy the speed, cost-effectiveness and regional scope of the service, while job seekers are able to search for positions in different countries via the Net (and now via WAP in Hong Kong) while assured of confidentiality.

JobsDB.com operates offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia and India.
