German cabling giant Krone AG has picked Anixter Inc. as its Asia Pacific
distributor for its structured cabling solutions.

The appointment builds on an existing Krone-Anixter partnership covering
North America and Europe.

The regional distribution agreement encompasses Australia, Hong Kong,
Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore.

Illinois-based Anixter, an established value-added provider of cabling
solutions for business information networks, will distribute Krone’s
PremisNET product line.

PremisNET is a suite of multimedia, high-bandwidth structured cabling
solutions, designed to help organizations future-proof their hefty network
investments.

“Asia is a highly significant region to Krone and we have a major
responsibility to deliver only the best to our customers via key channel
partners,” said Luke Mitchell, managing director of Krone Communications
Ltd.

“Consequently, we have meticulously evaluated several primary structured
cabling distributors before appointing Anixter for this region,” continued
Mitchell.

With 11 subsidiaries in Asia Pacific, Krone has been in the region for
more than 10 years, according to Krone.

Anixter brings a client base of approximately 100,000 customers worldwide
to the relationship.

“As an enterprise with distribution networks spanning the globe, we are
able to open up more avenues for Krone to strategically expand their
business in the Asia Pacific region,” said Trip Allen, Krone strategic
relations manager at Anixter.
