Pacfusion, the dot.com subsidiary of Pacific Internet, Thursday announced the launch of “eAuctions,” the latest addition to its stable of Internet portals.

Pacific Internet’s group general manager of e-business Larry Ang said that the new portal would allow businesses to tap into Pacific Internet’s (PCNTF) wealth of online marketing expertise.

“At the same time, eAuctions reaffirms Pacific Internet’s commitment to giving Pacfusion members an irresistible value proposition and a treasure trove of good deals,” added Ang.

eAuctions is a B2C- focused auction portal, even though individuals are also welcome to offer items for sale.

The launch of eAuctions follows Pacific Internet’s successful charity eAuctions of 12 full sets of Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel Wedding Collection plush toys, jointly organized with McDonald’s restaurants. The Pacific Internet-hosted Hello Kitty Web site has received over 1.9 million hits to date.

“With our extensive network of partners such as Motorola, eAuctions is well positioned to tap into the growing number of Internet users buying and selling a myriad of goods through online auctions,” declared Ang.

The site kicks off with an auction of Motorola products-during a three-week period, 12 sets of Motorola’s V-dot mobile phones, six sets of Motorola’s V3688 mobile phones and 200 copies of Motorola’s “Independence” CDs will be available for bidding.

Interested bidders will first need to register as Pacfusion.com members. Registration is free.
