After a series of special events such as the internet industry awards and a celebration of its one year anniversary, the Seattle Network is returning to its familiar network-panel-network format.

Tuesday’s event at the Shilshole Bay Marina will feature a distinguished panel of speakers from the wireless industry who will be addressing the following topic: Wireless Internet, Is it the Next BIG Thing?

The panel, which will be moderated by Steve Oroszlan, director of communication services at Go2Net, will include: Chairman and CEO of Hillsboro-based eTrieve Mike Maerz, President & CEO of XYPOINT Ken Arneson, 2roam Vice President of Engineering Jacob Sullivan and Business Development Liaison of The Web Connection Rika Nakazawa.

Special guest Jonathan Roberts, managing director and partner for Ignition Corporation, will be keynoting the event. He’ll be speaking on the investment community and Ignition’s views on the wireless Internet.

Participants at the event will be able to examine a cutting edge NTT Docomo wireless cellular telephone fresh from Japan. Co-founder Tim Reha is also interested in displaying a next generation wireless PDA. If there is anyone in the Seattle area that has access to one, please bring it with you to the event.
