MED Medicine Online GmbH, BROKAT Infosystems AG and online Hans have agreed to cooperate on building a secure healthcare data transmission system in Germany.
BROKAT has extensive Internet business experience, particularly with applications for financial service providers. The corporation’s TWISTER e-Services platform is already used by a number of German banks and the pharmacy computer center. In the context of this cooperative agreement, TWISTER will be applied as a broad base in the healthcare sector.
The use of this platform enables the transfer of sensitive patient data via the Internet and guarantees the highest level of data security with certified encryption technology.
Online-Hanse from Cologne is the security provider used by MedWinner’s, the Intranet-based electronic data transmission system for medical practices from Medicineonline. Online-Hanse’s Firewall is widely used in Internet security. Both medical practice networks and individual practices benefit from these systems.
All partners in this cooperative arrangement will develop their future activities together and make use of the available know-how for the optimization of data transfer in the healthcare system. Medical practice networks will, for the first time, have the option of using MedWinner’s distributed data and the central medical records.
MedWinner’s, the first Intranet based practice data transmission from Medicineonline, enables both the GP and the networks to reach maximal communication capacity with ease of operation.
