Seattle.internet.com has learned that the worldwide networking group First Tuesday has chosen the Pacific Northwest as the pilot region for launching its European matchmaking events in North America.
First Tuesday (www.firsttuesday.com) announced that their inaugural North American matchmaking event will be held at the Terminal City Club in Vancouver, BC on January 29th.
Entrepreneurs are now invited to submit their business proposals at www.firsttuesdaymatchmaking.com.
The deadline for submission is noon January 15th. All proposals will be reviewed by top business consultants, scored and ranked in order. The top 35 business plans will then be invited to attend the all day matchmaking event later this month.
“This is a great opportunity for the emergent high-tech sector. Matchmaking works in Europe because it brings the right people together in a venue where they can really do business. First Tuesday has shown enormous confidence in the Pacific Northwest by choosing this location for its first Matchmaking event in North America,” says First Tuesday Director of Matchmaking Chris Jensen.
According to Jensen, applications have been received so far from BC, Ontario, Alberta, Washington and Europe. “In addition I have had enquiries from other US based companies,” says Jensen.
