[Toronto, CANADA] — ProCure.com Inc., a provider
of hosted, Web-based order management solutions, negotiated a strategic partnership with TheraSense, Inc., a privately held medical device manufacturing firm in Alameda, CA.

TheraSense will use ProCure’s order management services to streamline fulfillment processes. By adopting ProCure’s Net*Order and NetgTrack applications, TheraSense will be able to automatically receive, process and track orders from many channels including phone, fax, e-mail, VAN-based EDI systems as well as emerging channels such as XML-based electronic trading exchanges and marketplaces.

TheraSense launched the first phase of ProCure’s order management solution when FreeStyle, the company’s virtually pain-free blood glucose monitoring system for people with diabetes was made available for purchase online. Procure’s process is integrated into TheraSense’s back-end fulfillment structure, allowing true order integration.

ProCure provides a hosted and managed suite of order management solutions that enables an organization’s ordering processes to be completely integrated into its existing financial and fulfillment systems without the hardware, software, professional service fees and timelines associated with traditional e-commerce solutions.

Its supplier enablement solution lets suppliers connect to a buying organization’s procurement systems, reducing the costs and time associated with issuing and managing purchase orders. From a supplier’s perspective, ProCure’s technology can generate a single order receiving solution that can process orders from an increasingly fragmented set of traditional and online procurement standards.

This system eliminates the need to develop and maintain multiple document-translation systems and procedures. By providing both buyers and sellers with the ability to integrate and track any manual or electronic order into their existing legacy systems, ProCure bridges the gap between traditional logistics and online ordering.
