    REDWOOD CITY, Aug. 31–Excite@Home and
    pogo.com announced a definitive agreement in which Excite@Home will acquire pogo.com, an online games provider for the
    mass market, for an undisclosed amount. The pogo.com multi-user online
    games environment will be leveraged as a key asset of Excite@Home’s
    broadband TV initiative, where consumers will be able to play online games
    as part of the advanced TV experience. pogo.com’s commanding position in
    the narrowband online games market will also facilitate the migration of
    consumers to the broadband and set-top platforms.

    SAN JOSE, Aug. 31–Cisco Systems
    announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire privately
    held PixStream of Waterloo, Canada. PixStream is a provider of hardware and
    software solutions to distribute and manage digital video across all types
    of broadband networks. The acquisition supports Cisco’s vision to accelerate broadband
    deployments and build networks that enable service providers to offer data,
    voice and video services to businesses and consumers. Cisco common stock
    worth an aggregate value of approximately $369 million will be exchanged
    for all outstanding shares and options of PixStream.

    company of CMGI , announced it has acquired
    Space Asia Media Limited (Space), a leading independent Internet
    marketing network in Asia, in an all stock transaction. Through its online
    ad network, Space represents 270
    leading Asian Web publishers and serves over 140 million ad impressions per

    largest independent online auto loan providers, and giggo.com, a
    division of DaimlerChrysler and an online
    automotive financing site, announced that they have agreed to combine PeopleFirst.com and giggo.com. Under the terms of the
    agreement, PeopleFirst.com will acquire all of the outstanding shares of
    giggo.com from DaimlerChrysler for a 23% common stock equity interest in

    Quack.com, a voice portal company that uses simple spoken commands

    Quack.com’s technology will help extend
    the AOL experience beyond the PC, enabling
