Seattle.internet.com has learned that San Mateo-based eProNet, an online recruiting site focusing
on alumni from top-tier universities, recently added the University of Washington’s Alumni Association to its online recruiting network.

The eProNet network is comprised of professionals in fields such as engineering, business development, marketing, and science and technology. Among the 20 university alumni organizations affiliated with the network are Stanford, MIT, Yale, and Duke.

“Partnering with the nation’s top-tier universities makes eProNet an excellent choice for companies that need to hire highly skilled and well-educated mid to senior level professionals,” says Andy Chan, CEO of eProNet.

While the U.W. Alumni Association has had a career service for the past six years. According to Don Gallagher, manager of Husky Career Advantage, it initially just focused on networking between alums.

Gallagher was brought on board early last year to upgrade the service’s Internet and job search functions.
“Job are the center piece,” says Gallagher who initially formed a partnership with the State of Washington’s
“Work Source WA” job Web site.

However, it was clear to Gallagher that it was critical to form a partnership with a company that could address the need to reach out to alumni across the nation.

“ePronet is an organization that is specifically geared towards working with alumni associations and that’s pretty unique relatively to virtually all other job boards,” says Gallagher.
