AdFlight Inc., creator of an
automated Internet ad sales service
announced Friday that Visitingcities.com, a travel
portal, will join its advertising network.

Under the agreement, AdFlight will be responsible for both selling and
serving the travel portals online advertisements.

AdFlight’s “Online Advertising Marketplace” enables advertisers to buy ads
across its network through an automated online ad sales center. Using
AdFlight’s self-service process, advertisers can select ads online, purchase
ads with a credit card, and upload their ads.

AdFlight’s self-service ads are aimed at serving smaller businesses, which
wouldn’t merit much attention from Web sites’ sales staffs. The self-service
model is becoming increasingly popular.

In recent months, companies like MSN and
FreeInternet.comhave launched
similar self-service ad centers, focusing on the small business customer.
All of these efforts are aimed at bringing in smaller customers, without
expending the manpower usually needed to service a client.
