Fine art site Artnet.com signed a placement deal with
America Online to promote its art auctions, content, services and resources.

Placements will appear in the Shop@AOL, AOL.com, http://www.CompuServe.com and Netscape shopping destinations.

Spending was not disclosed.

Artnet.com will be an anchor tenant in the Shop@AOL Art & Antiques department
and a silver tenant in the Auctions department.

The site will also be
promoted in the Influence and Entertainment Channels as well as in other
areas.

In addition, artnet.com will expand its international marketing
strategy with a presence on AOL and CompuServe in Germany.

Artnet.com will kick off the alliance with a three-week theme event starting
Sept. 16 called “Icons of the 20th Century,” offering buyers recognizable
works of art and images of cultural icons for sale in artnet.com auctions and in the
galleries.

Artnet.com AG is a public company traded on Germany’s Neuer Market.
