Agency.com has promoted Don Scales to executive vice president and chief operating officer, a role in which he’ll manage the delivery of work for all the company’s North American and European offices, including its itraffic subsidiary.
Scales has been with the marketing firm since February 2001, most recently as CEO of the company’s North American operations, which includes offices in New York, Boston, Chicago, Dallas and San Francisco. He was responsible for managing sales and delivery for Agency.com and its subsidiaries, itraffic and Red Sky.
Scales first joined Agency.com as Southwest regional president, managing the Dallas office. Prior to that, he was chief executive officer at eJiva, a division of Igate Capital.
“Don has been an instrumental part of our success and we will benefit from extending his management across all our offices,” said Agency.com Chairman and CEO Chan Suh.
Range Online Media has hired Eric Clark as vice president of media, a role in which he’ll oversee online media client relationships and business development while advising the company on research and changes in the online marketing space.
Prior to joining the Fort Worth-based interactive marketer, Clark was marcom manager of Internet media for Radioshack. There, he managed the company’s strategic partnership with Microsoft/MSN and directed interactive B2C and B2B strategies.

Drugstore.com has launched a three-part loyalty program. The tree tiers are “Everyday Free Shipping,” featuring free shipping on non-prescription orders of $49 or more; “drugstore.com dollars,” a five percent credit towards future purchases; and “Your diamond deal,” which gives registered customers four personalized product offers on a weekly basis. The program is a long-term test the company said it will evaluate throughout the coming quarters.

Boede&partners, an integrated marketing firm, has hired Chris Omer as chief technology officer. Omer comes to the company from the Salt Lake City office of Euro RSCG Tatham Partners, where he served as senior technologist and supervised the deployment of a worldwide intranet that united 233 branch offices in 75 countries. While there, he also engineered an agency-wide client collaboration tool.
