Yahoo!’s online job service HotJobs has appointed Tres Meyer as senior vice president of HotJobs marketing and Yahoo! vice president. Meyer will lead HotJobs marketing, advertising, events, public relations, content and product marketing, and will oversee the business management of HotJobs’ job seeker and employer products.

Meyer joins the Web service from Datek Online Financial Services, where he served as senior vice president of marketing for the past three years. Before joining Datek, he worked with the Guinness Import Company as senior marketing director of liquor brands Guinness Stout, Harp Lager and Red Stripe. Prior to that, Meyer was a marketing director at Sara Lee Personal Products Isotoner division and a senior marketing manager at Pepsi-Cola Company.

“Through his role at Datek, Meyer has already been successful in working with Yahoo! to drive consumer action,” said Dan Finnigan, executive vice president and general manager of HotJobs. “We look forward to having him integrate our online and product marketing efforts under one brand to do the same.”

Google has hired Canadian advertising and publishing veteran Wendy Muller as head of the company’s Canadian ad sales and operations. Most recently, Muller was the chairman of DoubleClick Canada, where she led the overall growth and operations for the region. In her new position, Muller is responsible for growing Google’s client base, generating Canadian ad sales revenue, and growing the team to support expansion.

The company also announced new Canadian advertising customers American Standard, eBay Canada, RBC Financial Group and Sears Canada.

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) has picked up 18 online ad sellers and publishers as new members.

The new IAB member companies are ADexact, Advertising.com, Amazing Media, AmericanGreetings.com, Autobytel.com, CBSMarketwatch.com, Classmates.com, CMP/TechWeb, DealTime, Expedia.com, iCrossings, Invicta Media Group, MeasureCast, The Motley Fool, Priceline.com, Search123.com, SME Global Solutions and Univision.com.

“The IAB’s growing membership signals the relevance of our initiatives, which are designed to improve and grow the business. These companies recognize the importance of being on ‘the inside,'” said IAB President and CEO Greg Stuart.

The IAB said its member companies now account for over 75 percent of the ad revenue generated via Internet advertising.

Wunderman recently made several hires to its New York and Irvine operations. Jordan Modell, a strategic planning and database integration expert, has joined Wunderman New York as senior vice president and director of database marketing. In the newly created position, Modell is charged with enhancing data powered marketing across Wunderman’s New York account base. He also will support Wunderman’s global data initiatives.

On the West Coast, the company named Laura Sanchez as VP and director of campaign development for Wunderman Irvine, also a new post. Sanchez will develop and manage new direct marketing programs, working closely with Wunderman’s strategic and data services and creative units.

Also in New York, Wunderman’s Database Marketing Services group promoted Slavi Samardzija and Vivian Zhu to associate director positions, with the aim of further strengthening its data-powered marketing bench.

Boston-based Phoenix Media, operator of four weekly newspapers and associated Web sites, The FNX Radio Network, several Web personals services, and Web sites for other print properties, is migrating all its Web sites to 24/7 Real Media’s Open AdStream Central ad management solution.

Boston Phoenix, long an Open AdStream Local client, said the migration of all Phoenix-owned Web properties to Open AdStream was the next logical step.

“In terms of overall benefits, such as ease of use and scalability, it made sense to migrate all the sites onto their hosted platform,” said Sanford Wilk, Phoenix Media’s director of new media. “We’ll also save quite a bit of money.”

Search marketing player LookSmart has named Greg Santora to its board of directors. Santora has held senior financial positions at Intuit and Apple Computer. In his current role as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Intuit, Santora directs financial strategy, operations, investor relations, and procurement for the financial services company.

His 13 years at Apple included a spell as senior director of finance for Apple Americas, where he was responsible for all financial matters relating to the division. Santora will also join LookSmart’s audit committee.
