NetCreations, LinkExchange Team in E-mail Lists

Oct 9, 1998

Opt-in e-mail marketing company NetCreations Inc. is
partnering with LinkExchange to make NetCreations’
database of 1.5 million Internet users available to small business owners who
want to send targeted offers by e-mail.

LinkExchange will feature NetCreations’ PostMaster Direct Response service on
LinkExchange Express, the company’s
Web site promotion store. Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

The LinkExchange marketplace allows shoppers to purchase banner ads,
sponsorships, press releases and other Web marketing services online for as
little as $50. NetCreations’ lists rent for 20 to 25 cents a name, including
e-mail distribution and merge/purge.

“We share LinkExchange’s vision of leveling the playing field and giving Web
entrepreneurs the marketing tools they need to be successful,” NetCreations
President Rosalind Resnick said. “By partnering with LinkExchange, we’ll be
able to give millions of small businesses and Web entrepreneurs a fast and
affordable way to reach Internet users who are eager to receive their offers.”

“We’re pleased to offer NetCreations’ excellent direct marketing service to
our membership of small businesses and Web publishers,” said Tony Hsieh,
LinkExchange co-founder. “We’re always on the lookout for effective solutions
to help small businesses build traffic and drive revenue, and the PostMaster
Direct Response service fits this mission perfectly.”

PostMaster Direct Response
offers
marketers a responsible way to reach their target market on the Net.
NetCreations mails only to people who come to its site and its partner sites
and ask to receive commercial announcements.
