Networking vendor Brocade named industry veteran Lloyd Carney as its new CEO this week.
Carney is succeeding current CEO Michael Klayko. Klayko has been CEO of Brocade since 2005 and has overseen a period of transformation at the networking vendor.
Under Klayko’s leadership, Brocade transformed itself from being a pure play SAN vendor to become a complete networking vendor. At the core of the transformation was the $2.6 billion acquisition of networking vendor Foundry Network in 2008. The former Foundry assets now form the core of Brocade’s networking business.
