Why is Juniper supporting OpenStack?
That’s a question that Bob Muglia, the EVP of the Software Solutions Division at Juniper, answers in a video interview. While Juniper is a networking hardware vendor, under Muglia’s guidance the company is transforming itself to have a software basis as well.
Muglia puts OpenStack and CloudStack together, even though technically they are somewhat different. In his view, they both compete against two proprietary stacks, VMware’s vCloud Director and Microsoft’s Virtual Machine Manager.
