New York City-based BigStar Entertainment, an online movie superstore, has signed e-commerce marketing pacts with Women.com Networks, MiningCo.com, Hearst’s HomeArts.com Network and MovieFone Inc.’s Movielink.com.

HomeArts, a lifestyle network for women on
the Web, signed a deal to make BigStar the exclusive online filmed
entertainment retailer on many of HomeArts’ content channels. The HomeArts
Network provides original online programming, combined with interactive
features from 11 Hearst women’s magazines, including Redbook, Good
Housekeeping
, Cosmopolitan and Country Living.

The deal between MiningCo.com and BigStar calls for a long-
term exclusive e-commerce partnership, highlighted by next week’s launch of
the Mining Co. Videostore, which features Mining Co. Guides’ reviews and
recommendations for video titles which can be purchased through BigStar. The
agreement also includes exposure in the Mining Co. Marketplace, which provides
BigStar with a retail presence on every page of MiningCo.com’s network of
sites run by subject specialists.

The partnership between BigStar and MovieFone will integrate portions of
BigStar’s movie database into Movielink.com to make it easy for its user
base to search for videos and DVDs.

BigStar and Women.com Networks, a provider of resources
for women, signed an agreement making BigStar the sole filmed entertainment e-
commerce partner for most of the Women.com Network content areas, as well as
the exclusive filmed entertainment merchant at the Women.com store and Crayola
“FamilyPlay” area.

Financial arrangements were not disclosed for any of the alliances.

BigStar is an independent online retail marketing company specializing in
filmed entertainment and offering more than 100,000 items in videocassette,
DVD and Laserdisc.
