go2net Forms E-Commerce Relationship With Wave Systems

go2net Inc. said it recently signed substantial agreements with Wave Systems Corp. and other e-commerce operations for placement on its finance, games, search and shopping sites.

Wave Systems “Great Stuff Network” was named the
exclusive Electronic Software Distributor on go2net’s MetaCrawler Marketplace.
Other recent additions to the Marketplace have included Golf Discount, DVD
Flix and PetQuarters. Financial terms were not disclosed.

go2net said its network of sites attracts more than four million unique users
per month, and the Marketplace leverages the high traffic of go2net’s
metasearch service, MetaCrawler, allowing advertisers to reach consumers
through prominent front-page link placement.

“Our agreement with go2net will place the Great Stuff Network in front of
millions of savvy consumers,” said Steven Sprague, president of Wave Systems.
“This relationship will drive added revenue for our software vendors and
increase Wave’s overall sales.”

Additionally, go2net said it recently opened a New York sales office to
facilitate its advertising sales on the East Coast.

go2net offers a network of technology-driven niche Web sites, and develops
unique Java
technologies.

Properties include: MetaCrawler, a search/index guide that
combines various existing search/index guides into one service (a “metasearch
engine”); PlaySite, a Java-based multi-player online
games network; and StockSite, which offers proprietary
