Internet Mall Selects Spree.com for Books, Music

Online shopping developer and retailer Spree.com reported that El Segundo,
CA-based The Internet Mall will use Spree.com’s
book and music stores as part of an overall design change for the firm’s Web
site.

The Internet Mall is taking advantage of its gateway to 27,000 merchants by
developing its own “branded stores” as well as entering agreements with other
online shopping retailers. Financial terms of the deal with Spree.com were not
disclosed, although revenue sharing is included.

Music and book categories will be the first to be deployed on The Internet
Mall Web site, and other private labeled stores will be added later.

The look and feel of The Internet Mall’s site is being redesigned to make it
more intuitive and to facilitate the integration of partnered merchandising
efforts.

“With more than 700,000 shoppers visiting the site every month, The Internet
Mall is clearly a global leader in e-commerce,” said Lance Roncalli,
Spree.com’s vice president of business development. “Partnering with
Spree.com–taking advantage of private-label stores, deep product lines and
generous
revenue sharing–opens up a whole new source of revenue for The Internet
Mall.”

Internet Mall also markets turnkey electronic commerce solutions and services
for merchants and consumers. The OrderEasy Secure Electronic Commerce
Service
is a complete back-end system with full shopping cart and database
functionality offering secure real-time transactions.
