INTERSHOP, Intelligent Catalogs Inc. Join Forces

E-commerce software company INTERSHOP Communications and
Intelligent Catalogs, owners of CatalogFinder, an online
yellow pages services for catalogs, signed a technology and marketing
partnership to bring thousands of print catalogs to the Internet.


Using San Francisco-based INTERSHOP’s e-commerce technology, Intelligent
Catalogs aims to convert thousands of printed catalogs into online
shopping sites. Financial details were not disclosed.


CatalogFinder provides complete solutions, including e-commerce, online
marketing, product promotions, and the design of contests and electronic
coupons.
Currently CatalogFinder points shoppers to more than 15,000 printed catalogs
and forwards more than 4,000 information requests to catalog companies every
day.


The agreement calls for joint participation in marketing events, trade shows,
sales calls, and promotional activities. INTERSHOP will grant Eugene, OR-based
Intelligent Catalogs access to its channel of value-added resellers and system
integrators.
