Landmark Systems Corp. launched
PerformanceWorks for E-Commerce, a management solution designed specifically
for mission-critical electronic commerce applications.

The product provides monitoring, problem resolution, and capacity planning
that
facilitates peak performance and availability of e-commerce applications such
as transactions, supply-chain management, intranet applications, and other
network-based applications, the company said.

One initial customer is Boston College. “The performance of our e-commerce
systems is critical because they are running our core business applications,”
said Jaqui Lynch, manager of systems services for Boston College.

“The advantages of PerformanceWorks for E-Commerce are in the capacity
planning and
problem resolution areas. We are now in a much better position to understand
how the systems are behaving and thus to plan for the future.”

PerformanceWorks for E-Commerce’s capacity planning component allows customers
to leverage today’s performance data to proactively address scalability issues
of tomorrow. This component allows users to perform “what if” scenarios to
determine the impact of additional transaction growth, the company said.
Pricing details were not disclosed.
