Morelli Systems Inc. introduced its OrderStation commerce engine, which combines e-commerce technologies with simplified product maintenance.

“OrderStation addresses the issue of ownership for e-merchants,” said Lou Morelli, president of Morelli Systems. “It allows non-technical people to build, edit and update their commerce site easily, making it simple to maintain an e-commerce presence.”

Morelli said the product offers e-merchants full control of product
information, pricing, availability, specials and promotions, as well as access
to other site information such as customer and order information.

“It’s all about control,” said Morelli. “We took a look at how customers
needed to maintain their site and found there is a desire to control product
content in-house. It was a niche that needed to be filled.”

OrderStation is designed to allow product information to be added and updated to a commerce site without knowing HTML or other Web technologies. This allows e-merchants to tailor the site to product availability, market demand and pricing
fluctuations, according to the company.

OrderStation features include key word product searches, advanced menu creation, tracking of shipments and integration with legacy systems for order tracking and fulfillment. The company said that it also integrates with a variety of credit processing and payment systems for real-time credit authorization and merchant
bank crediting. Pricing was not disclosed.
