Tivoli Systems, a supplier of network,
systems and applications management solutions, delivered Tivoli Cross-Site, a
suite of business-to-business e-commerce management solutions.
Tivoli is billing the suite as “the industry’s first collaborative, multi-discipline solution for managing e-commerce.” The Cross-Site suite isolates problems, coordinates resolution and enables information sharing among e-commerce participants to ensure the security, availability and deployment of virtual trading communities across the Internet, the company said.
Martin Neath, senior vice president of the Tivoli Product Group, said:
“Security risks, unreliable application availability and the ability to share
critical applications and data have slowed e-commerce adoption. Tivoli Cross-
Site virtually eliminates these barriers.”
The product solves management problems that cross corporate firewalls and
enables businesses to share management information and applications over the
Internet, Tivoli said.
Based on technology from Tivoli, IBM’s Research Labs and strategic partners,
the first Tivoli Cross-Site products include Tivoli Cross-Site for
Availability, Tivoli Cross-Site for Security, and Tivoli Cross-Site for
Deployment. Tivoli’s Cross-Site can be integrated with Tivoli’s TME 10 product suite to provide an end-to-end management solution both inside the firewall and across the Internet, the company said.
The Tivoli Cross-Site suite will be generally available in the third quarter
of this year. Pricing was not disclosed.
