USA.Net, a Colorado Springs-based provider of
Web-based e-mail, and Egghead.com formed a strategic alliance
that will provide USA.Net’s 3.2 million NetAddress subscribers direct access
to Egghead.com’s Internet sales channels.

The alliance is for one year, with the option for renewal for a second year.
Egghead recently abandoned its real-world stores in favor of a Web-based sales
operation.

“With this agreement, USA.Net extends electronic messaging to include online
computer and consumer products shopping,” said John Street, president and CEO.

USA.Net said it is creating links and access through its Direct Delivery
program, a push content e-mail service of information and transactions, to
enhance the value of NetAddress to its subscribers.

Egghead.com Inc. operates three Internet sales channels: egghead.com, which
markets computer products; surplusdirect.com, an off-priced,
refurbished computer products warehouse; and surplusauction.com a live,
interactive auction format for computer products.
