Datalink Corp. announced that it has been chosen by Hughes Supply, Inc. to design, build and support the company’s information protection and recovery architecture.

Datalink said it has implemented an enterprise backup solution for Hughes Supply, a distributor of construction and industrial materials.

“Hughes Supply was searching for a high performance enterprise backup solution that was SAN-capable, easily scalable, and capable of backing up both Unix and NT environments, and that utilized industry leading products,” said Spencer Chan, Systems Administration Manager for Hughes Supply. “We chose Datalink based on their numerous successful installments of these solutions and the recommendations of ATL and VERITAS. The implementation has gone very smoothly so far and we are happy with the initial results.”

“Datalink’s real-world experience with a wide variety of storage strategies, combined with our ability to provide best-of-breed products gives our customers a distinct competitive advantage,” said Steve Howe, vice president of Sales and Marketing at Datalink. “We are happy to be a trusted partner of Hughes Supply.”
