everStor Inc., a publisher and developer of enterprise-class storage management software, announced that it has named industry veteran Charles F. Christ to its board of directors.
“We believe that our new products, along with products scheduled for introduction in the near future, will generate a strong momentum and accelerated growth for everStor. Based on forecasts for our products and markets, we are implementing a number of new business strategies,” said Glenn Salley, everStor’s chief executive officer. “Our board will play a key role in guiding the company through this next phase. As a board member, Charlie will be directly involved in our strategic planning and business direction.”
Christ has more than 30 years of management experience in the data-storage, systems, office-products and semiconductor industries. He was president and CEO of Symbios Logic Inc., a $700 million supplier of electronic components for the data communications and storage marketplaces.
From 1990 to 1997, he was vice president and general manager of DEC’s Storage and Components divisions. Prior to 1990, he was corporate vice president of Xerox and president of its Reprographics Manufacturing Group.
Christ is an active board member to several companies in the computer, electronics and communications industries, including Maxtor and Pioneer Standard Electronics. He is currently chairman of the board for Dot Hill, a Carlsbad, Calif., SAN storage company, and for Message Secure, a Tyngboro, Mass., Internet-security services company. He has also served on a number of other boards in the industry.
