GMSI announced plans to offer EMC Corp.’s information storage systems, software and services as part of its overall strategy of expanding its line of IT integration products in critical market sectors.

Under the terms of the agreement, GMSI will resell all of EMC’s products, including its suite of Symmetrix(R) and CLARiiON(R) networked storage systems. According to the company, this agreement adds network attached storage (NAS) and storage area network (SAN) capability to GMSI’s network and management-centric environment.

Howard Myers, GMSI senior vice president, said, “The rapid expansion of information storage and retrieval needs within our client’s domain provided the vision to address the storage market. Knowledge based networks are the future growth engines in IT service. We are an important part of the trend.”

“The Federal market, in particular, is seeing an explosion of digital information that must be accessible to a wide range of platforms,” said Bill Taylor, EMC’s director of Global Channels. “GMSI is now able to offer leading networked solutions to help organizations better manage, share and protect their critical information.”
