Capstan Systems Inc. announced it won a contract from Legato Systems Inc. to deploy and implement Capstan’s Global Export Management Service.

Legato said it chose Capstan following an extensive review of traditional enterprise and Web-native software products providing automation solutions to critical export management and trade compliance processes.

“We are very pleased with the Capstan application,” said Victoria Grey, vice president of Business Operations for Legato. “Web-native, hosted software has clear advantages in implementation speed and rapid time-to-value. By interfacing Capstan’s features and functionality with our order creation, fulfillment and product licensing systems, we expect to achieve significant productivity gains through elimination of manual tasks, more accurate and thorough export screening, and faster order processing.”

“We’re honored to have won the support of one of the industry’s leading business enterprise software providers,” said Beth Peterson, Capstan’s vice president for Product Strategy. “Our hosted services model continues to gain momentum, particularly among technology companies. We are very proud to count Legato among our clients.”
