Mar 19, 2001

Systems integrator NaviStor.Com LLC and network storage company FalconStor Software, Inc. announced a partnership to offer FalconStor’s IPStor enterprise storage software as one of NaviStor’s storage products and services.

According to FalconStor, IPStor unifies Storage Area Networks (SANs) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) under a common management umbrella. In addition, IPStor also combines IP-connectivity with enterprise-class storage services such as virtualization, high availability, mirroring, replication, snapshot, and transparent integration with standard industry backup/recovery software.

James R. Addlesberger, CEO of NaviStor, said, “NaviNET, a solution powered by FalconStor’s IPStor, delivers what our customers need. A multi-platform solution providing snapshot backup functionality and remote mirroring are a must. Combining these with the remote capabilities based on IP makes this product a real winner.”

NaviStor.Com offerings include products and services from StorageTek, LSI Logic, EMC, IBM, Brocade, Vixel, Crossroads and software from Veritas.
