Network Appliance Inc. announced that together with Oracle Consulting they have created a best practices architectural framework to help customers deploy Oracle with NetApp solutions.
According to the company, the best practices document includes specifications for maximizing performance and availability of NetApp storage running with Oracle application and database environments. The framework, developed in conjunction with Oracle Consulting, will serve as a guide for deploying Oracle on NetApp in an enterprise environment. The company said that, when used by Oracle Consulting during enterprise implementations, the guide will provide a deployment framework for Oracle on NetApp solutions that helps reduce risk and complexity while enabling lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the customer.
“Oracle Consulting Services and Network Appliance share a common vision to help customers eliminate risk in their IT infrastructures,” said Rich Clifton, vice president of Commercial Solutions Marketing at Network Appliance. “Oracle Consulting can now come armed to customer engagements with a powerful tool that enables customers to maximize their returns on their Oracle and NetApp investments.”
