Adobe Mobilizes Flex and Flash Builder

Adobe wants to help developers build for mobile platforms.

This week, Adobe launched the new Flex 4.5 and Flash Builder 4.5 to help enable developers to build applications for Android, Blackberry and iOS mobile platforms.

Adobe has also partnered with PHP vendor Zend, to help bring PHP apps to mobile platforms as well.

“Using the Flex Framework with Flash Builder enables developers to build one app and then share the code for the app to build for other platform-specific apps,” Dave Gruber group product marketing manager at Adobe told InternetNews.com. “This is write once and then share a ton of your code for other platforms.”
