Bell Nexxia, INTRIA-HP Partner for Broadband Delivery

Bell Nexxia
has won a multi-year, multi-million dollar agreement to work with INTRIA-HP Corp. to design and
implement a single, cohesive corporate IP network for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC).

Under the agreement, Bell Nexxia and INTRIA-HP, a joint venture between
CIBC and Hewlett-Packard Co., will establish a
national flat-rate price-per-port IP service and bring Internet access to
18,000 CIBC employees. This initiative is part of a
national Canadian strategy that levels the playing field for
non-metropolitan areas, the firms said.

This agreement is an extension of a partnership between INTRIA-HP and
Bell Nexxia where Nexxia’s high-speed infrastructure is used to enhance
the Internet capabilities for INTRIA-HP’s clients. Bell and INTRIA-HP
plan to co-market this offering to other companies across North America.

“CIBC customers can be assured
that INTRIA-HP will continue delivering the highest levels of network
availability so that they can bank ‘anytime, anywhere and anyhow,'” said
Michael Somerville, vice-president, technology planning and technical
services, INTRIA-HP.
