Cisco Does It Again: A Sign of Recovery?

The leader in enterprise networking, Cisco, posts another strong quarter as it foresees improvement in global IT spending just around the corner. Key to the success are its switching platforms, and its Nexus 5000 and 7000 in particular. Enterprise Networking Planet has the story.


The global economic recovery, at least in terms of network spending, is just around the corner — according to networking giant Cisco Systems (NASDAQ: CSCO), that is.

Cisco reported positive revenue and earnings growth for its second fiscal quarter of 2010, beating its own earlier guidance as well as analyst expectations.

Though Cisco operates across multiple market segments including networking, collaboration and consumer electronics, it’s switching that remains the core of its business, and the heart of its most recent growth.
