Funcow, Cinram Offer Software Online

[Toronto, CANADA] – Funcow.com Inc., an Internet access and e-commerce company, offers consumers additional software on its installation CD ROM, through an electric distribution technology offered by Cinram International.

Cinram Digital Delivery Solutions (CDD) allows Funcow to let consumers sample additional computer software, games or music contained on the installation CD. The consumer can then “unlock” the balance of the content by accessing an unlock code over the Internet.

Targeting the home market, the additional software provides products such as computer virus protection and utilities that address concerns of children’s online safety.

“This agreement allows Funcow to offer relevant software to our consumers, and gives them direct access to products that encourage Internet use,” said Albert Ang, vice president,
information systems of Funcow.com Inc.

Funcow.com also has named Cinram its exclusive replicator of optical disc products. Funcow is planning aggressive national expansion of its Internet access coverage across Canada. E-commerce is the core focus of Funcow, having signed alliances with over 200 e-merchants and affiliates to provide information and products to Funcow members and Internet users.

Funcow will be launching its own online stores within the site, consisting of computers and accessories, apparel and gift items. Recurring traffic is expected to generate e-commerce opportunities for Funcow, while providing an online direct marketing tool for advertisers.

Cinram International Inc.is an independent provider of pre-recorded multimedia products and services, and custom-order downloadable and optical disc digital content.

Funcow.com offers Internet membership in North America, including free unlimited Internet access through an ad-sponsored service subsidized by a fixed banner advertising broadcast.
