    REDWOOD CITY, July 25–Clarent Corporation , a provider of carrier-grade, phone-to-phone Internet Protocol
    (IP) telephony solutions, announced that it has acquired privately-held
    PEAK Software Solutions of Littleton, Colorado. The PEAK acquisition is intended to
    immediately enhance Clarent’s
    intelligent IP telephony and communications software development activities
    by adding 56 highly experienced communications software engineers to its

    streaming media network, announced its agreement to acquire
    NextVenue, a provider of streaming media services to the financial
    community and business enterprise markets. NextVenue provides Wall Street with
    end-to-end streaming solutions for virtual roadshows, multimedia and
    interactive analyst reports. These services will now be delivered via iBEAM’s unique satellite/fiber streaming
    media platform. iBEAM will issue $375 million in stock to NextVenue’s
    shareholders at the closing of the transaction, which is planned for the

    definitive merger agreement providing for the acquisition of eFusion by ITXC. After closing, the companies plan the
    rapid deployment of eFusion applications on ITXC.net and further
    development of enhanced applications already under development at ITXC
    which support high quality interactive voice on the Internet. eFusion’s
    shareholders will receive a total of 5,658,986 shares of ITXC’s Common

    Wireless
    of Westlake Village, Calif. for $6.8 million in stock and
    cash. As a result of its planned acquisition of Encore, a wireless company
    that delivers private-label wireless Internet solutions, Ezconnect believes it is positioned to
    be the first provider of such private-label wireless Internet solutions to
