Ad-supported free ISP NetZero Inc.
formed an alliance Thursday with e-centives Inc. that
will enable the ISP to send its users personalized offers from more than 150
marketers.

Under the planned campaign, slated to debut in the third quarter, NetZero
users who sign-up for the e-centives service in the “ClubZero” member area
will identify their own areas of interest, and then receive personalized
offers from participating merchants, such as Amazon.com , Tower Records and REI.

The e-centive offers will be stored online in each users’ “online organizer”
and will be redeemable at the merchant’s sites.

“Our alliance with e-centives furthers NetZero’s continuing goal to
enhance the user experience by providing meaningful and targeted offers that
are easy to redeem on the products and services our users value,” said Brian
Woods, chief marketing officer of NetZero, which claims more than four
million registered users.
